By making his mark early in his professional life, Jordan Birnbaum’s name is one that is prominent today in the world of Internet marketing. With one singular strike, Jordan Birnbaum succeeded in closing a distribution deal for Juno Online Services, Inc., that generated more than 1 million subscribers alone. The mega size deal that was struck with Blockbuster Video and Blockbuster Music was so unique and gained so much attention that it was used as a standard for the online service industry and is still referenced to this day.
In 1995 Jordan Birnbaum began working for Juno Online Services, Inc. as their Director of Subscriber Acquisition and due to his superb marketing techniques, was quickly promoted to Vice President of the Business Development section. The role entailed focusing on producing profits via non-traditional ways of promotion selling and with the assistance of one other person only, Jordan Birnbaum generated several multiples more profit than what the 25 members of the advertising sales department at Juno had succeeded in doing.
Due to his rapid success, he moved quickly up the corporate ladder to the role of Senior Vice President of the Business Development department, where he was overall responsible for directing the business development and sales efforts of the entire sales operation, which entailed managing personnel of over 75 members of staff. Juno Online Services was ready to go public at this stage, and with Birnbaum’s leadership, they successfully completed an initial public offering. Birnbaum left the company at the beginning of 2000 after a very successful 5 year period whereby he led Juno to six quarters of beating the analysts’ projected revenue figures. By overseeing the signature of distribution agreements with 50 major players in the market and the introduction of pioneering practices into the multimedia arena, Jordan Birnbaum had at this point, most definitely made his mark.
Jordan Birnbaum studied Policy Analysis with a focus in Consumer Economics and Housing at Cornell University in Ithaca, New York, USA. His creditable academic career included a post on the Dean's List and a semester field study whereby he developed and put into practice the Homelessness Intervention and Prevention Program (HIPP) for the Ithaca chapter of the American Red Cross. Also on his resume was the 18-month associate training program that he participated in, in Manhattan at D.E. Shaw &Co. the global investment and technology development firm. With their significant presence in the world's capital markets in North America, Europe, and Asia and has earned an international reputation for successful investing, Jordan Birnbaum was sent to London to co-govern the trading on the Tokyo Stock Exchange.
Birnbaum originally invested in Qtopia Events Inc. in 2001 but re-launched it as Vanguard Hollywood and during Birnbaum’s five year ownership period, it became a monster success and employed over 100 employees. Birnbaum sold Vanguard in 2009 but the expertise and skills he acquired during that period are guaranteeing the foundation of success in his current entrepreneurial venture – ‘The Secret Beatnik Party’.
